QRC Aitocrat here!
What an event! Nearly 100 people in attendance! 38 contestants!
We want to thank their Majesties of Aethelmearc and their highnesses of the East and Aethelmearc for joining us QRC yesterday.
It was our pleasure to host the event that shines a light on our Queen and Princess. Thank you for all the combatants and populace that braved the weather to join us.
I’d like to thank the members of the Company of the Wylde hunt and the Shire. Without them I would not have been able to get this event off the ground and ran like a well oiled machine.
First and foremost my husband, Dominus Crispus who dealt with my antics in the time leading up to the event, during and after, building the list posts, kitchen help, tearing down and setting up. and keeping me grounded.
The Lady Myskia Nattfari for working Troll and helping me keep my head straight, all her fabulous ideas and organization skills and being a fun shopping partner.
Syr Gwydeon , for making the awesome room signs, setting up and tearing down, and his knowledge of a variety of things I needed to know and taking things off my plate when he saw it was overflowing.
The Lady Astra for set up and tearing down and her work at Troll, being the driver for our shopping trips and being ready to take on whatever tasked needed to be done.
Lord Halfdan Arnsson , for his helping building the list posts, setting up and tearing down and competing will his whole heart. a true joy to watch.
Delos and Zindia for their help in the kitchen, setting up and tearing down.
Cat, for the last minute shopping, and helping set up,
Ruth for taking care of our honored guests, the East, for the day.
Syr Arden or his help keeping the kitchen doing.
THL Deidre for a day board modeled after her Majesty. A challenge was pulled off beautifully and with a wonderfully designed and education booklet. She was the first and only person I wanted to feed us and I’m so glad she did. Her award of being the Queen’s inspiration that day was well deserved!
We also want to give thanks to the scribes, calligraphers and illuminators who’s scrolls were presented at court! It was wonderful to see so many people we knew be recognized for their hard work.
Lord Lord Zelig Engelhart and Lady Astra receiving their AOA’s.
Crispus and Ophelia receiving our keystones.
Lord Halfdan being called the embodiment of enthusiasm by the roses and receiving multiple inspirations during the day
Thank you to everyone else. My mind is still spinning.
For the combatants, I will have photos of the event up in due time. I took well over 2,000 and will be sorting through them for the best as quickly as I can.
